TYPE AB'S

Last week at the phlebotomy class, I found out my blood type is AB, which the Japanese believe indicates a split personality. I'm not generally superstitious, because in my country there's a long history of wizards (brujos), fortune tellers, and all different kinds of people who try to convince you that they can figure out what kind of personality you have. Using a whole variety of methods from readings palms and cards, to performing rituals for cleansing away the evil spirits and magical curses. So it's no surprise to me that the Japanese are superstitious too. I believe it's a universal phenomenon for every country to develop its own superstitious beliefs. I agree with the analysis at face value, because I'm shy at times and enjoy being helpful, but I still remain skeptical.

Dear President Obama,
I'm immigrant from Mexico. Last year I'm became a U.S. citizen. I have lived in the U.S. for more than 20 years, now this is my new home.I love this country very much and is why we need immigration reform.I'm an ESL student at "Renton Technical College" and I work at "King County". My dream is to speak, write and communicate better in English. I'm very concerned about the current situation of immigrants, because I was once one of them. Please help to support immigration reform in this country.
Sincerely,
Sergio Juarez

Writing

Writing is very difficult for me.
I aways have a hard time to put my ideas together.
I hope that if I confront my fears about writing, I'm going to feel much better.

Soccer

I love to play and watch a soccer game.
Soccer is the most popular sport around the world.
This year in June thirty two countries are going to dispute the "FIFA" World Cup.

Money

Everybody needs money to survive in this world.
If I don't have money I will end in the streets.
In this modern world everything is about money.

The French Kiss. I love the history about this movie. I'm related in one way, or other to this drama. Also the music that they play is very interesting to listening in another language. Is why is one of my favorite movies!

The Pink Panther, or as it's known in Mexico, La Pantera Rosa, was one of my favorite cartoons in the past. First of all, I never get tired of hearing the theme song. I like the Pink Panther in the same way I like Snoopy and Bugs Bunny, because they always figure out how to get what they need, without yelling or screaming. He's always so calm and relaxed, even when his life is being threatened. Also, I like the fact that he never speaks. He always gets his point across, but never has to explain himself. He's completely honest and therefore always confident about what he's doing, because it's always obvious what he's thinking. He finds a creative solution to every problem that he's faced with, and never loses his cool. I still wish I had the skill to cope with life as well as he does. I know it sounds ridiculous to compare the complexity of anyones' life to the simplicity of a cartoon character, but there's an essential truth involved that always resonates and makes me happy.
